I used to be a Wiccan high priest. I suffered from a very dirty and bitter divorce. I have seen combat against the Taliban and Al Queda forces. Even with my salvation through Christ’s blood, there was an unseen spiritual barrier between my Lord and I. I was ready to give up, to turn my back on God when I heard of “New Hope.” Because of New Hope, many of my walls and barriers have fallen like the walls of Jericho. I had talked to pastors, doctors, psychiatrists, counselors, help phone lines, prayer phone lines, taken Prozac, Paxill and nothing worked until I came here. I’ve learned how to have a close, personal, intimate relationship with my heavenly Father. I know who I am in Christ. I know what kind of power I’ve been given. When I first contacted New Hope, I was hurt, angry, confused, scared and trust was no longer a part of my life. My life seemed to be one constant series of pain and hurts. I had gone through sexual abuse as a child, a home life of constant fighting, a first marriage of physical abuse, along with verbal and emotional abuse, and I had reoccurring depression. I was so down-trodden, I felt that death would be my only peace and escape. I believed I was worthless, stupid, ugly and an unimportant person – one that could never be loved. My learning experience through New Hope could fill a book. I had no idea how my life was going to change. First and foremost the most important thing I learned was who I am in Christ. And secondly, who and what I am in the eyes of the Lord. God is my father. He is my protector, He is my strength. Jesus Christ is my best friend. I was saved and salvation was bought through the price of Christ’s suffering and dying on the cross for my sins. I am someone who is important, someone who matters, someone who is special and loved. God loves me unconditionally and most importantly He forgives me. I know He will never leave me. God has given me promises through His Word. He is there to heal me, body, mind, and spirit. In the past, in my life, when I went through trials and pain & hurts, I used to ask God why. Why me, Lord? Why again? Now I no longer ask why, instead I give God praise. For now I trust completely what God does, where, when and how. I have learned the great work God is doing in my life – not because of the pain and hurts, but in spite of them. I have been given peace. Such a miraculous change. New Hope, thank you. Your guidance led me to know and believe in things I never knew about God. I not only had my faith strengthened, but I realized what true faith is, and how to embrace it and walk in it daily.  --Jeanine

Before New Hope our personal lives were a mess, our children were suffering, and our marriage was split. New Hope taught us to order our private lives, develop our potential, and to release ability.
